purchased pumpkin pie achieve homemade status.
Makes enough to top 1 (8-, 9- or
10 x inch) pie
1 cup pecan pieces
1 tbl minced crystallized ginger
3/4 cup packed dark-brown sugar
4 tbl (1/2 stick) butter, melted
Instructions:
Instructions: Mix all ingredients except pie in a small bowl. Spread evenly over top of baked pumpkin pie. Broil about two minutes, about 7 inches from heat source, watching carefully until topping is golden and sugar is dissolved. Cool a little before serving.
