Instructions: Melt butter in 2-1/2 or 3 qt microwave bowl; stir in brown sugar and sweetened condensed milk until blended. Microwave uncovered on High 7 to 9 minutes, stirring 4 times until sugar is dissolved and mixture has thickened and is a medium caramel color. Remove and add vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer 3 to 4 minutes until smooth and shiny. Add pecans and fold into caramel mixture. Spread in a buttered 9X13 pan with low sides. Cool, then refrigerate 2 to 3 hours til firm. Cut into squares with knife dipped in hot water.
