2/3 cup real butter
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tbl dark corn syrup
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp ground cloves
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup water
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine first four ingredients in sauce pan. Stir over low heat until butter melts. Remove from heat and stir in spices. Cool slightly. Stir in soda dissolved in water. Add flour. Dough will be soft. Shape into two balls. Wrap well and refrigerate overnight. Roll out on floured board. Cut out with cookie cutters and bake at 325 degrees for 6 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown. The thinner you roll them the better.
