Instructions: Cream butter and sugar fluffy. Beat in eggs and flavorings. Mix together, flour, pepper and salt. Blend flour mixture into creamed mixture. Mix in dates and nuts. Pour into a greased 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake 275 ( correct ) 45 minutes or tested done.Sift with confectioners sugar while warm.
