1/2 cup blackberry jam
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
----------------- Steaks: ----------------
3 tsp coarse ground black pepper
4 x (4-ounce) boneless strip beef steaks
Instructions:
Instructions: 1. Grill directions: Heat grill. In small saucepan, combine jam and vinegar.

Cook over medium heat until jam is melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

2. Rub pepper on both sides of each steak. When ready to grill, place steaks on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium-high coals. Cook 8 to 12 minutes or until of desired doneness, turning once.

3. To serve, spread steaks with glaze; top with berries.

Yield: 4 servings.

TIP:*To broil steaks, place on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat using times above as a guide, turning once.
