2. Break up chocolate into a medium glass bowl. Microwave 5 to 6 minutes on medium power; stir. Microwave 1 to 2 minutes more until melted. 3. Put candy canes in a plastic bag or between two pieces of waxed paper. Using a hammer, or the handle of a kitchen knife, break the candy canes into chunks. Add candy to chocolate. Press into pan and chill until set (about 1 hour). Break into pieces by slamming pan on counter. Makes 2 pounds NOTES : A Christmas time treat!
