Instructions: Combine first 8 ingredients; make a well in center of mixture. Combine egg and beer; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into deep hot oil (375 degrees); fry only a few at a time, turning once, 3 to 5 minutes or until hush puppies are golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Yield: about 1-1/2 dozen. Email this Recipe:
