Instructions: Slice or chop cabbage and onions fine.
Saute onions in butter. Add sliced or chopped apples. Stir to prevent burning. Add cabbaage and water. Cook slowly for approximately one hour. Add vinegar and sugar. Add salt and pepper to taste.
