1/2 lb butter or margarine
1/2 tsp Beau Monde seasoning
1 lrg clove garlic finely minced
2 tbl grated onion
1 tbl poppy seeds
2 tbl lemon juice
1 whl round loaf of French bread
Instructions:
Instructions: Whip butter, Beau Monde seasoning, garlic, grated onion, poppy seeds and lemon juice thoroughly. Cut French bread in half down the top; dont cut all the way through. Then cut slits 3/4" apart perpendicular to first cut; dont cut all the way through. See diagram. Stuff cheese between the slices and spread butter mixture over the top. Place on cookie pan and bake for 30 minutes at 350F.

Note: Butter mixture can be made in large batches and kept in refrigerator for 1 month or more.
