Instructions: Place roast water and bay leaf in crock pot or roaster; seal top with tin foil; cook on low heat or 180 degrees for 6 to 8 hours. Remove meat from liquid to a casserole dish; break meat apart (it really falls apart quite easily) and cover with 1 cup Hunts all natural thick-rich-chunky barbecue sauce; may use more if taste desired. Place in moderate oven to heat sauce for about 15 minutes.
When cooking, the 5 roasts in the electric roaster, the water will simmer, do not boil rapidly. We leave the meat in the roaster; remove the bay leaves and add the all-natural barbecue sauce. Phillip Smith Email this Recipe:
