Ingredients:

1 kg cherries, fresh
1 cup sugar (caster)
1/2 lt vinegar, white
12 x black pepper, cracked
4 x cloves
1 x bayleaf
Instructions:
Instructions: Wash and dry the cherries and pack into glass jars.

Bring remaining ingredients to the boil and pour over the cherries, cover and seal the jars.

Leave for 4 weeks before eating.

These go well with cold meats.

Keeps for 3-4 months.

Ensure storage jars are well sterilised.
