Instructions: Put cleaned birds in a heavy iron skillet and top each with a half slice of bacon. Put skillet in preheated 450 degree oven for 5 minutes, then turn to full broil and broil birds for 5 minutes. Remove from broiler and cover skillet tightly; return to 450 degree oven and cook birds for 15 minutes. Sprinkle birds with enough sherry to cover pan bottom; cover pan tightly and cook at 450 degrees for 5 minutes longer. Serve with pan juices.
