Instructions: Dice onions.
In a heavy saucepan cook onion, garlic clove and ginger slowly in butter until soft but not brown. Add red wine, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes. Add washed plums, cover and simmer 40 minutes. Serve hot or at room temperature. Makes about 3 cups. Good with duck, ham or pork. Email this Recipe:
