Instructions: Clean birds, reserve livers, and return each liver to cavity. Truss. Wrap with bacon or a thin slice of salt pork and tie. Sprinkle with salt and roast in a shallow pan or on a spit at high heat (450 degrees in oven) for 20 to 25 minutes, basting with melted butter. Serve on toast.
