Instructions: The juice of pomegranates has been used as a souring agent for centuries. It can either be used fresh or boiled to a paste not to be confused with sweet syrupy Grenadine (also made from pomegranates) for use throughout the year. It is very popular all over the middle East particularly in the Lebanon and Turkey where it is used for salad dressings and in dips or in vegetable casseroles. Its sweet and sour taste adds a new dimension to any dish.
