Instructions: Combine ingredients in order given. Drop batter by soup-spoonfuls into hot fat. When browned remove from fat and roll in sugar. These donuts turn themselves. You can mix the dough and fry part, then fry the rest later and have them fresh. I think adding powdered sugar to granulated sugar makes them "sugar" better. Dropping batter into hot fat eliminates rolling and cutting as for regular donuts.
