Instructions: Place the ingredients in the bread pan in the order recommended by your machines manufacturer. Process on the Basic cycle, Light Crust setting.
After dough mixes for 2 minutes, adjust liquid or dry, as needed. Use your judgement. This dough must not be dry; must be smooth and supple to touch. This recipe yields a 1 1/2 pound loaf. For oven baking; remove dough when finished kneading. Place in a greased bowl, cover with nonstick sprayed plastic wrap. Let rise to double volume, then remove to your board. Dust with flour sparingly, form one large loaf for 9- by 5-inch wide pan, or 12- by 4-inch pan, or two 8-inch loaf pans. OR: Make a braid using three strands. Be creative. Cover with nonstick sprayed plastic to rise again. When almost double, brush with egg glaze and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 35 minutes. Should be a very rich-golden color crust.
