Instructions: Put the oil, honey, vinegar, mustard, salt, green onions, and poppy seed in a carafe and shake well to mix. Wash and pat dry the red lettuce leaves with a paper towel. Tear into bite-size pieces. Place the lettuce, onion, avocados and oranges in a salad bowl and toss. Chill until ready to serve. Just before serving, pour the dressing mixture over top and toss again to coat. If you chill the dressing, it will need to be at room temperature before putting on the salad, otherwise the honey thickens and stays at the bottom of the carafe.
