1 x 3-pound duck or
2 x cornish hens or
1 x 2- to 3-pound whole fryer chicken
1 lrg orange split in half with skin on
2 tbl sherry
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
Instructions: Clean poultry and stuff orange halves into cavity. (Can cut orange into quarters to use in the Cornish hens). Sprinkle sherry over poultry and cook on Low for 7 hours for whole chicken or Cornish hens; at least 9 hours for duck. Mix orange juice and sugar and use mixture to baste poultry. Cook on High for 1 hour. Remove from slow cooker and place on platter; garnish with orange quarters.
