1/2 lb beef chuck roast
1 tbl oil
2 med carrot chopped
2 x celery stalks slice thin
2 x garlic cloves minced
1 tbl quick-cooking tapioca
1 can Italian-style tomato paste - (6 oz)
1 can Italian-style stewed tomatoes - (14 oz)
1 tbl brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 x bay leaf
Instructions:
Instructions: In large skillet, brown roast on all sides in hot oil. Transfer to any size crockpot.

In a small bowl, combine tomatoes, tomato paste, brown sugar, salt, pepper and bay leaf; pour over meat. Cover and cook on LOW for 10 to 12 hours or on HIGH for 5 to 6 hours. Discard bay leaf. Cut up meat and serve over hot cooked noodles.
