1 x chuck roast (with or without bones)
1 pkt Lipton dry onion soup mix
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp minced garlic
2 qt water or enough to cover meat
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine all ingredients except potatoes and carrots in a large pot. Bring to a boil. Lower to simmer and cook for 2 1/2 - 3 hours, until tender.

Added peeled and quartered potatoes and peeled and cut carrots; cook another 30-45 minutes, until vegetables are cooked tender.

Remove meat and vegetables and thicken remaining liquid for gravy. Slice meat.
