Instructions: Peel and boil potatoes in salted water until tender.
Mash with milk and butter until smooth, then add the egg, flour and nutmeg and mix in well. You should end up with a thick batter. Put vegetable oil into a flat bottommed frying pan and cook the batter gently in egg rings until lightly coloured and firm. Lift gently from the pan, allow to cool slightly, and remove from the egg rings. Place on a tray, top with grated cheese and finish in the oven for * 10 minutes at 200 celcius.
