Instructions: Steam the potatoes and garlic until the potatoes are soft, 50-60 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F; lightly grease 4 cup pan. Mash hot potatoes and the garlic. Leave the skin on for added color and texture. Combine the potatoes with the schmaltz, chicken soup and the optional griebenes. Taste for salt and pepper. Bake 20-30 minutes or until the top is nicely browned. Email this Recipe:
