Instructions: Sift together the first 4 ingredients. Rub the fat or butter into the flour. Add mashed potatoes and salt. Mix and add enough of the milk to make a soft dough. Pat the dough about 1/2 inch thick on a floured board.
Cut into rounds about 3 inches across. Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for about 30 minutes or until golden. Split and serve hot with butter. Makes 4 scones. Email this Recipe:
