1 cup milk, scolded
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup potato water, lukewarm
5 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup mashed potatoes
1 cup bread flour
2 x eggs, beaten
2 x cakes yeast
Instructions:
Instructions: Mix the hot milk, fat and sugar. Stir in the potatoes; let stand until it is lukewarm, then add 1 cup flour and the eggs. Mix the yeast with the lukewarm water; add this to the milk and potato mixture. Beat until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Cover and set aside in a worm place.

Mixture should rise and be full of bubbles. Add enough flour to make the dough feel like elastic. Set in a warm place to rise, then shape into rolls or biscuits. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
