1 x Clove Garlic
3 oz Butter
2 lb Potatoes Peeled And Sliced
Salt And Pepper
4 oz Gruyere Cheese
2 whl Onions Chopped Or Sliced
2 sprg Parsley Finely Chopped
2 lb Ceps Or Wild Mushrooms Chopped
Instructions:
Instructions: 1. Rub gratin dish with with garlic and butter

2. add one layer of potatoes, salt and pepper, Gruyere, onion and parsley.

3. Add layer of ceps, onion, parsley and gruyere.

4. Continue layers finish with potatoes and cheese.

5. dor with butter, pour over cream.

6. bake 180c, mark 4 for 1.3/4 hours

Serving Ideas : sprinkle with chopped chives

NOTES : add bits of bacon or ham

use turnips and grated nutmegs.

add leeks and diced red pepper
tandoori version uses chilli, turmeric, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, yoghurt, and ginger!!!!
