Instructions: Combine brown sugar, butter and salt in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until melted. Add half-and-half and stir well. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and beat until icing is of spreading consistency. If stiff, add more half-and-half; if too runny, add more powdered sugar. Once spreading consistency is reached, stir in vanilla.
