Instructions: In a shallow dish, combine the pancake and cornmeal mixes, milk, egg, and ground red pepper; mix well and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat until hot but not smoking. Place a hot dog lengthwise on each skewer. Roll the hot dogs in the pancake mixture, coating completely. Place the coated hot dogs in the skillet in batches and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until the coating is golden and the hot dogs are heated through. Serve immediately.
