Ingredients:

14 tbl water (1 cup less 2 tbs)
1 tbl olive oil
1 tbl minced garlic see tip
1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
1 tbl sugar
1 tsp salt
2 cup bread flour
1 tsp herbes de Provence
Instructions:
Instructions: Add the ingredients to your machine according to the manufacturers instructions.

Bake on regular white, on light, or rapid cycle. This bread may also be prepared on a timed cycle.

AUTHORS TIP - These recipes are for 1 pound loaves but they can be increased. To make 2 lb loaves, double the proportions. To make 1.5-lb loaves, increase all of the ingredients by one half.

MasterCook TIP: change the number of servings (2-oz slices) from 8 to 12 to 16 for a 1 to 1.5 to 2 pound loaf. Or change to 1-oz slices: 16, 24, 32.

NOTES : GARLIC - Normally I try to use fresh garlic whenever possible, but for this bread I used minced garlic from a jar. Its easier to measure and in the final product I think the flavor is comparable to what youd get with fresh. - Elizabeth Allow 1 to 2 large cloves of garlic, smashed per teaspoon. (There are 3 teaspoons per tablespoon.)
