Instructions: Butter a shallow 1-quart baking dish and arrange plums in bottom. Sprinkle with cinnamon and lemon juice.
Combine sugar, flour and salt. Blend in butter with a fork until mixture becomes granular. Sprinkle over plums. Bake for about 30 minutes, until topping browns well and plums are tender. Serve warm with lightly whipped cream or ice cream, if desired. Note: Use real butter or stick margarine.
