Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix first seven ingredients together. Add spices. Sift dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Add nuts and raisins last. Divide in three greased and floured regular bread loaf pans. Bake one hour in 350-degree oven.
Makes 3 regular bread loaves. Martha Says: I make this recipe all year long and not just at Christmas time. I find that by adding the spices with the wet ingredients they dont lump up. I like the recipe because it stays moist for days. It can be kept in the refrigerator for two or three days before baking. The bread freezes well. I have also made more than one recipe at a time. I like to wrap in pretty cellophane paper and give for Christmas gifts. Email this Recipe:
