Instructions: Place ingredients in a large bowl. Puree with a mixer. Add to a large heavy boiler or saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook until piping hot. Do NOT boil.
Simmer for about 10 minutes over low heat. Add additional chicken broth or apple juice, water or Half & Half until soup is the consistency you want it to be. Or cook longer to reduce and thicken if desired. Taste test and adjust seasonings. Vary soup by adding apple sauce, if desired. Email this Recipe:
