Heat the oil in a frying pan and saute the onion for 3 to 4 minutes. Add the turkey, pork, and garlic and saute 3 to 4 more minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook until the meat is lightly browned and crumbly Pour off any excess fat. To make the canapes: Mix the pumpkin with the cooked chorizo and heat until warmed through. Spoon into pastry shells and place on heated platter or in a hot chafing dish. Garnish with cilantro leaves and serve warm. SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Serve for a Thanksgiving or Christmas buffet. These go beautifully with hot spiced apple cider. Email this Recipe:
