Instructions: Heat oven to 375 . In large bowl stir together flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Cut in shortening until crumbly. With fork mix in water just until moistened. Form into ball. On lightly floured surface roll into 12 x 12 rectangle. Place on bottom and up sides of 9 x 13 baking dish. Crimp or flute crust. In small bowl beat egg white with fork until frothy; brush on pastry. Sprinkle cheese over pastry, sprinkle with bacon and green onions. In large bowl whisk together all remaining ingredients and reserved egg yolk; pour over bacon and green onions. Bake for 35 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 15 minutes.
