Instructions: 1. Cut the top off the long side of the loaf and scoop out the middle so that only the crust remains to make a large bread case. Retain top of loaf.
Filling: 2. Melt butter in a frying pan. Add onion and shallots and fry for 3 mins. 3. Mix together asparagus, corn, cream and eggs. Stir in onion mixture and season well with salt and pepper. 4. Place bread case on a baking sheet. spoon in filling, replace the top of the loaf and bake in a moderately hot oven (190C/375F) for 30-40 mins, or until filling is firm. Allow to cool.
