Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat a round 2-quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour and sugar. Add the sour cream and beer alternately, mixing well. Pour the batter into the casserole dish and bake for 45 minutes. Brush the top with the butter. Bake 15 to 20 minutes more, or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
