Instructions: Mix the ingredients in a medium bowl, stirring until smooth. Spread onto cookies or squirt through a cake decorating tube.

Variations:
Vanilla: Instead of the water, add 2 tablespoons hot water & 1 tablespoon vanilla extract to the powdered sugar.

Orange: Instead of the water, use 3 tablespoons orange juice concentrate or 3 tablespoons of orange liqueur. Try this frosting on ginger, cinnamon or chocolate cookies.

Mint: Instead of the water, use 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons hot water, 1 teaspoon mint extract, & a few drops of green food coloring (or 3 tablespoons creme de menthe). Goes well with chocolate cookies.

Lemon: Skip the water & use 3 tablespoons lemon juice & maybe a few drops of yellow food coloring.

Coffee: Instead of the water, use 3 tablespoons hot strong coffee or Kahlua. Good on ginger, cinnamon or chocolate cookies.
