1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese - (4 oz)
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese - (4 oz)
1 x frozen 9" ready-to-bake pie shell thawed
1/2 cup real bacon bits
2 x eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium bowl, combine the cheeses and sprinkle half of the mixture into the pie shell. Sprinkle with the bacon bits and then cover with the remaining cheese.

In a small bowl, combine the eggs, milk, onion powder, and pepper and beat until thoroughly mixed. Pour over the cheese and sprinkle with the nutmeg.

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until firm and a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before slicing into wedges.

This recipe yields 6 servings.

Comments: Go ahead - mix and match your favorite cheeses. This is even a great way to use up any bits of leftover cheese youve got in the back of your fridge.
