Instructions: Wash chopped gourd and drain.
Heat oil in a pan, add seeds allow to splutter. Add asafoetida, green chillies and ginger. Stir, add chopped gourd. Add tamarind bits, turmeric powder and salt. Cover and simmer till gourd is tender.
