Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
28 oz Italian tomatoes canned
1/4 cup salt-free defatted chicken broth
or vegetable broth
1/2 cup pearl barley
1 tbl chopped fresh basil or 1/2-tsp dried
1/8 tsp celery seeds ground
Instructions:
Instructions: Puree tomatoes in a food processor. Pour into a saucepan and add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes or until barley is soft. Simmer until mellow.
