1/2 cup Tub-style margarine at room temperature
1/2 cup Dark brown sugar
1/2 cup White sugar
1 cup Unsweetened applesauce
2 cup All-purpose flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Freshly grated nutmeg
1 tsp Baking soda
2 tsp Baking powder
2 cup Rolled oats
1/2 cup Raisins
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Grease 2 baking sheets with tub-style margarine or spray with vegetable oil.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the margarine and the sugars until light and fluffy; add the applesauce. Sift together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and baking powder; add to the applesauce mixture. Stir in the rolled oats, raisins, and chopped nuts.

Drop by the tablespoonful 2-inches apart onto the cookie sheets; bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Allow the cookies to set on the baking sheets for about 3 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.

This recipe makes about 36 cookies.
