Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
1 can Chickpeas, drained and rinsed 1 (19-oz/540 mL)
2 x Sweet red peppers, roasted, peeled, seeded, and diced 2
2 x Cloves garlic, minced, or 1 head roasted garlic 2
2 oz Feta cheese, crumbled 60 g
1/4 tsp Hot red pepper sauce 1 mL
1/2 tsp Pepper 2 mL
Instructions:
Instructions: Place chickpeas in food processor and chop finely (until almost mashed).

Add red peppers and garlic. Process on/off until combined but not completely pureed.

Add feta cheese, hot pepper sauce and pepper and process on/off until evenly distributed. Taste and season with salt.

NOTES : There are many variations of Hummos. This delicious version makes about 2 cups. For other versions, or for instructions on roasting red peppers and garlic, refer to More HeartSmart Cooking with Bonnie Stern.
