1 cup Red plums, drained (chop plums into quarters reserve liquid)
2 cup Flour
2 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Cloves
1/2 cup Shortening
1 cup Sugar
2 x Eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup Red plum liquid
Instructions:
Instructions: Sift flour and dry ingredients together. Cream shortening with sugar; add eggs and beat thoroughly. Add dry ingredients and beat well. Fold in plums, plum liquid and nuts. Pour into cake pan approximately 7x11-inches. Bake at 375 degrees for about
35 minutes.

Cream Cheese Frosting: Beat 3 ounces cream cheese, softened. Add 2 teaspoons plum liquid and 1-1/2 cups powdered sugar.
