Instructions: Bring to a boil the water, sugar, spice, and cream of tartar. Add 20 ounces ritz crackers. Boil about 8 minutes. Pour into uncooked pie shell and cover with pastry top. Prick and bake at 425F for 30-35 minutes. Serve warm. It really does taste like apple pie! Origin: Found in recipe box bought at garage sale.
