Instructions: Season the meat with pepper and salt and flour it. Brown the meat well in oil over moderate heat. Add the chopped onions and toss in oil. Add the coffee and continue cooking over low heat in a covered pan until the beef is soft (about an hour). Remove the beef and set aside. Add flour to thicken the sauce. Stir well and simmer over low heat for another 10 minutes. Slice the beef into serving pieces. Serve it warm with the sauce on the side.
