Instructions: Preheat oven to maximum heat.
Cut an x through the skin of the chestnuts to prevent bursting. Roast chestnuts in the oven for about 30 minutes. Peel them carefully, removing all membranes. Dissolve sugar in a pan with rum and stir in peeled chestnuts. Toss well with syrup. Flambe and serve hot. Email this Recipe:
