1/4 cup coarsely ground black pepper
2 lb rib eye beef roast, fat removed (2 to 3)
1/2 tsp ground paprika
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 tbl tomato paste
1/2 tbl cornstarch
Instructions:
Instructions: Rub the black pepper over the roast and press in with heel of hand. Place the roast in a shallow baking pan. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the remaining ingredients and shake well. Carefully pour the mixture over the roast and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.

Preheat oven to 325 F. Remove the roast from the marinade and bake for 17 to 20 minutes per pound for rare. (For the best results, use a meat thermometer.) Let cool slightly. Slice and serve immediately.
