1/2 lb thin or medium asparagus
2 tbl peanut oil
2 med garlic cloves, minced
2 tbl smooth peanut butter
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp hot red pepper flakes
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Snap off tough woody ends from each speark.

Arrange asparagus on a large baking sheet. Mix peanut oil with garlic, drizzle over spears and toss gently with your hands to coat each one from end to end.

Spread spears out in a single layer over baking sheet.

Place baking sheet in oven. Roast, shaking pan once or twice to turn spears, until asparagus is lightly browned, 12 to 15 minutes.

Combine peanut butter, soy sauce, lemon juice, and pepper flakes in a small bowl. Use a rubber spatula to work the ingredients together until well-combined.

Add enough water to make the mixture thin enough to pour smoothly. Adjust the seasonings. Transfer the roasted asparagus to a large platter. Drizzle the peanut sauce over the spears and serve immediately.
