1 lb asparagus, cleaned, bottoms trimmed
2 lrg cloves garlic, peeled and minced
1 x to 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
Instructions: Balsamic vinegar to taste (about 2 to 3 tablespoons)

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Place asparagus in a single layer with garlic on a rimmed baking sheet.

Drizzle with olive oil; toss to coat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Roast, uncovered, shaking pan once or twice to turn spears, about 12 minutes.

Remove from oven and place on a serving platter. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar.

Variation: Omit balsamic vinegar and instead crumble goat cheese and bacon over asparagus and then drizzle with lemon juice.
