Instructions: Cream shortening; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg and milk; beat well. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and spices; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in raisins, pecans and apples. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Cool on wire rack; frost with vanilla frosting.
Vanilla Frosting: Combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl. Beat until smooth. Yields 4-1/2 dozen cookies. Email this Recipe:
